If you sell to businesses in Oman, your next client is probably on LinkedIn right now. Procurement managers, engineers, HR directors, project managers and CEOs in oil and gas, logistics, construction, banking and government-linked companies use it to follow industry news, check suppliers and see who is doing what. Yet many Omani B2B companies have a LinkedIn page with a logo, a few old posts and nothing else.
LinkedIn marketing in Oman is one of the most underused opportunities for B2B growth. Here is how to use it properly.
Company page vs personal profiles
LinkedIn has two engines, and you need both:
- The company page is your official presence: credibility, company news, job posts and a place for people to check you out.
- Personal profiles of your founders, managers and sales team are where most of the reach and trust come from. People engage with people more than with logos.
The best results come when leaders and team members share and add their own perspective to company content.
Step 1: Build a company page that looks established
- A clear logo and a cover image that says what you do.
- A tagline that states your value simply: what you do, for whom, where.
- An About section with your services, sectors, locations, certifications and contact details.
- The correct industry, company size, website and location in Oman.
- Employees linked to the page on their profiles, which shows a real team.
Step 2: Optimise key personal profiles
For founders and sales leaders, the profile is a digital business card that works 24 hours a day:
- Professional photo and a banner related to the business.
- A headline that describes how you help clients, not just a job title.
- An About section written for customers: problems you solve, sectors, experience in Oman and the GCC.
- Featured section with brochures, case studies or articles.
Step 3: Post content decision makers value
B2B buyers do not want daily adverts. They want insight. Content that works well in Oman:
- Project updates: completed installations, deliveries and handovers, with client permission.
- Expertise: short explanations of technical topics, standards, safety practices or maintenance tips.
- Industry perspective: opinions on Oman Vision 2040, localisation, sustainability or new projects, kept factual and respectful.
- People: welcoming new team members, training achievements, Omanisation stories.
- Events: exhibitions, conferences and site visits.
Two to four good posts a week is plenty. Photos and short videos from real sites perform much better than stock images. Our article on B2B marketing in Oman covers the wider strategy.
Step 4: Engage, don't just broadcast
LinkedIn rewards conversation. Comment thoughtfully on posts from clients, partners and industry leaders. Congratulate people on new roles and projects. Reply to every comment on your own posts. Over time, your name becomes familiar to the people who make buying decisions.
Step 5: Connect with purpose
Build your network with the right people: buyers, consultants, contractors and partners in your sector. When you send a connection request, add a short, personal note and avoid an immediate sales pitch. Relationships come first in Oman, online as well as offline.
Step 6: LinkedIn ads for specific targets
LinkedIn ads are generally more expensive per click than other platforms, but the targeting is precise: job title, seniority, industry, company size and location. They make sense when one new client is worth a lot, for example equipment sales, engineering services, consultancy or recruitment. Use them for specific goals such as downloading a capability statement, registering for a webinar or requesting a meeting.
Step 7: Measure what matters
Followers and likes are early signals. The real measures are profile visits from target companies, connection requests from relevant people, direct messages, meeting requests and enquiries that mention LinkedIn.
Bilingual or English?
Most B2B content on LinkedIn in Oman is in English, but occasional Arabic posts, especially around national occasions or for government-facing audiences, can stand out. See our guide on Arabic vs English content.
